The side-story light novel has been published on the 30th of January 2016, marking 10 years since its release.All profits from this project will go to the Palestine Children Relief's Fund. The PCRF is among the most committed and active charities that support children in need, offering medical aid and treatment.
The Theme of Cats
Cats have always played an important part to Ayatsuji's— the homicide detective's— character, as the author he is based off of had and still has dear cats of his own. Page artists are encouraged to include cats in their compositions, while writers can capture sweet and serene moments where cats play a key role.

The Detective ThemeThe zine offers a twist to Ellery Queen's novel "A Cat of Many Tails", giving the creative freedom of writers and artists to create works inspired by detective novels and spy movies. Be it by capturing the tension between our detective and his nemesis, or by writing a new case to be solved by the duo, mystery novels can become your inspiration: there are many tales to be told!
What is a zine?
A "zine" or "fanzine" is a collection of art, writing and different creations for a certain franchise. This anniversary zine is dedicated to Bungo Stray Dogs, notably its side story, marking 10 years of release.
Where do the profits of the zine go?
All profits from this project will go to the Palestine Children Relief's Fund. The PCRF is among the most committed and active charities that support children in need, offering medical aid and treatment.
Is the zine physical or digital?
This zine will include digital-only artwork, fanfiction, merch and printables. Covering production and shipping costs proves to be timely ineffective, as all the funds will go towards charity. We will try our hardest to produce quality digital products!
Will there be merch?
Yes, there will be digital-only merch, such as device wallpapers, printables, profile icons and more.
Can artists and writers collaborate?
Yes, they can. However, it is recommended to notify the mods during the review period.
Are ships allowed?
Contributors can highlight different dynamics between the characters of their liking, as long as they remain SFW and the romantic elements aren't overly explicit.
Are there particular characters to submit?
The cast of Bungo Stray Dogs Gaiden is the focus of this zine. Any other character that regularly appears in different serialisations ( ex. Bungo Stray Dogs manga) can be included, but without overtaking the role of the characters from the main cast. Contributors are encouraged to illustrate a variety of characters that can be found in the lightnovel.
